WHY SUNWAY PYRAMID IS A MUST GO WHEN YOU VISIT MALAYSIA

I’ve been to Sunway Pyramid for over 3 years and it never fails to give me surprises and novelty. Not to brag but I’ve been to more than ten shopping malls but Sunway Pyramid is always my No.1 shopping mall to go, here’s why:

#1 About

Sunway Pyramid, which located in Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya, Selangor was developed by Sunway Group. Its first phase is built on July 1997. It is Malaysia’s first themed shopping and entertainment mall in an Egyptian design with a lion sculpture, Pharaoh statues and two domes, known as the Orange and blue Atrium both represent Great Nile Sun and God Ra river respectively form part of the building structure. The mall consists of several shopping precincts, which are Fashion Central, Oasis Boulevard, Asian Avenue, Marrakesh, Fashion Central, and Oasis Boulevard.

#3 Interior

When we talk about Sunway Pyramid, the spotlight will always be this mall’s well-designed, exclusive and historical interior.

Its design obviously is inspired by the legendary Egypt Pyramid and the lion head. It is designed by AJM and AJMI, which is an architecture company and an interior design company. Not only the outer architecture looks Egyptian, but also the interior which will surely give you an open eye!

There four main sections of Sunway Pyramid, which is the Asian Avenue, Fashion Central, Oasis Boulevard and Marrakesh. Each design has its own unique theme such as Japanese style, Arabian style and so on.

 

It even has its own ice skating floor!

#4 Goods

There are many outlets available in Sunway Pyramid, from fashion, groceries to luxuries, they have everything you need. For fashion, they have outlets such as H&M, Zara, Forever 21, Armani Exchange and Mango. For skincare, they have a body shop, Innisfree and Kiehl’s. Lastly, for sportswear, they have Adidas, Nike, Al-ikhsan, and JD.

Festival

During main festivals such as Christmas and Chinese new year, the Sunway Group will never fail to surprise you with their outstanding decorations.

#6 Food and beverages

Not only the interior is the main attraction of tourist, but also their variety of food and beverages available.

For instance, the latest Chizu has to make people desperate to take a visit. Imagine a freshly brewed tea, infused with a layer of delicious cheese, it has to be an exclusive experience that definitely worth a try!

Besides that, IIao IIao is also a must- eat in Sunway Pyramid, which its popularity still on tip-top despite the fact that it had opened for 4 years!

Furthermore, there is also a variety of street food available inside the Asian Avenue, which always been my favorite places to eat when visiting Sunway Pyramid since it is affordable and delicious at the same time, suitable for a college student like me!
